Here we are again to review a product of Daniele Pallavicini (Palla3Dcraft), whom we thank for sending us his Potion D20 Dice Holder. It’s a 3D-printed potion that holds a set of dice, and it comes with a chain so it can also be used as a keychain.

Once again, we’re dealing with a customizable product. It seems that customization is this work’s key feature. We can choose from 21 different colors for the cap and the potion itself, creating the most diverse combinations. Here are the ones available: black, white, gray, wood, leather, pink, brown, red, orange, fuchsia, blue, light blue, green, yellow, gold, silver, blue and pink, black and red, blue and green, black and green, and rainbow. Below is an image explaining the shades; we opted for Sakura Pink and Fuchsia. Let’s take a look at the finished object together.

Always Have Your Dice with You

The product comes in the form of a D20-shaped, uncapped potion. The material, 3D filament, is designed to withstand impacts without scratching or breaking, making it extremely useful. On the side, there’s a metal keychain clip that allows you to attach your potion to a backpack or a belt. I know you might have wanted the transparency of a real potion, but that would probably have been counterproductive to its durability.

The circular lid fits snugly over the opening to keep its contents under lock and key. The dice holder actually comes with a set of dice, although you can’t choose the color. It’s the classic set of seven dice, from d4 to d20. The sides of the icosahedron allow you to stably position the potion both vertically and horizontally. This way, you can keep it on the gaming table without risking it sliding to the floor.

Conclusions of the Potion D20 Dice Holder Review

The product’s greatest strengths are its customization options and excellent price. Its dimensions, approximately 7 x 10 cm, make the Potion D20 Dice Holder a great addition to your sessions, even those on the go. The chain also makes it versatile for carrying to events. We know that on these occasions, every enthusiast usually feels the urge to use their own lucky set. Often, the bag containing our dice gets lost in the depths of our bags, making it difficult to find. The security of always having it handy and clearly visible will therefore be a welcome plus.

Aesthetics also play a key role. The idea of tying a dice holder to a usable object in the campaign is a winning one, giving it personality and making it more appealing to all players.

It’s also a great gift for that friend you’ve been wanting to introduce to RPGs but haven’t yet convinced. Incentivizing them with a cool set of dice could be one way to do so.

One last tip: there are now numerous online sites that allow you to create stickers with customizable graphics. A valuable addition, in my opinion, would be for one of the twenty sides of our potion to have a small logo with your character’s name. Who knows, perhaps the creator of this versatile product will also consider this option as a potential additional purchase for their customers.
